High school navigators are the first step to getting started in dual enrollment. RCC is fortunate to have a navigator for each high school in the service region. Navigators assist you with:
High School Permission & Registration Form
High school students can take college-level courses at their home high school through RCC’s Dual Enrollment program. Students dual-enrolled receive both college and high school credits prior to high school graduation. Many students earn an Associate degree the same semester they graduate from high school. According to the Community College Research Center, dual-enrolled students have a higher likelihood of:
Transferability
Dual enrollment courses are offered as a pathway into college or careers. Some classes are designed to transfer to a four-year college or university, fulfilling freshman or lower division course requirements. Other classes are not intended to transfer, but are requirements of a career or occupational certificate or applied science degrees offered at community colleges.
