Short-term programs at RCC prepare you for a career in the culinary arts and food service management industries. Classes are held at our state-of-the-art culinary lab at the Glenns campus and at our Kilmarnock site.
Advanced Culinary Arts Career Studies Certificate
The Advanced program is 28 credits and can be completed within two semesters. It gives students both service and technical education in culinary arts and food service management, preparing them to be competent and confident professionals ready to enter and be successful in the industry.
Culinary Arts Career Studies Certificate
A 16 credit program that can be completed in one semester, the Culinary Arts Career Studies Certificate provides a foundation in food production and the culinary arts field.
Baking and Pastry Fundamentals Career Studies Certificate
This program is 16 credits and can be completed in one semester. It’s designed to introduce students to a variety of techniques, correct vocabulary, and equipment.
Workforce Certifications
An industry-recognized program for food service workers. Learn about basic food safety, personal hygiene, cross contamination, allergens, time, temperature, cleaning, sanitation, and more. Customer Service Certification
This 5-week course is designed to capture core customer service duties for a broad range pf entry-level through first-line supervisory positions. The industry-driven, endorsed credential helps employers distinguish and recognize qualified customer service professionals, and identify career advancement opportunities.
