RCC offers hands-on camps that introduce students to health careers and STEM pathways. Please sign up for only one camp per summer.

Health-STEM Camp (June)
Students currently in grades 6 through 12 will learn the basics for coding Arduino microcontrollers and use them to build circuits and analogues of basic healthcare sensors. They will also learn from health sciences staff how medical grade sensors work and are used in healthcare.- RCC Warsaw Campus

Health Science Explorers Camp
Students in grades 9 through 12 will discover health careers, earn certifications through hands-on activities, and collaborate with RCC to build a pathway to their chosen career. Activities and field trips to community medical practices will explore various health careers including Nursing/EMS, Dental, DMS, and Pre-Med.

VCU Health Tappahannock
Health Careers Immersion Camps (June)
Students in grades 10 through 12 will discover health careers, earn certifications through hands-on activities, and collaborate with Rappahannock Community College to build a pathway to their chosen career.

- June 8-10, 2026, 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.

- VCU Health Tappahannock Hospital (618 Hospital Rd, Tappahannock, VA 22560)
- Details:
- Gain first-hand insight into the day-to-day operations in various departments at the hospital.
- Lunch and Scrubs are provided for students!
- A student-specific schedule will be provided the week before camp starts. Students will have the opportunity to complete certifications in Basic Life Support and Stop the Bleed.
- Registration opens May 1 at 6 pm and closes when spots are filled. Registration is limited to 10 students and each parental guardian will be contacted to confirm attendance.

One-Day Health Careers Immersion Camps (July)

Bon Secours RGH Health Career Immersion Camp (July)
Students in grades 10 through 12 will explore various health career opportunities, gain certifications, and learn about volunteer opportunities. Lunch and scrubs provided! More information to come!
