Military Friendly, a division of Victory Media, Inc., has recently listed Rappahannock Community College as a “military friendly” school. These lists, published every year since 2003, name schools and employers that offer outstanding opportunities for military service members and their spouses.
Victory Media, a veteran-owned-and-operated small business, surveys more than 10,000 Veterans Administration-approved institutions nationwide to showcase those most effective in the areas of academic credibility, student support, admissions assistance and orientation services, graduation and retention rates for military students, military student body composition, military post-graduation employment rates, government and tuition assistance, academic flexibility, and policies regarding military spouses.
In addition to appearing on the organization’s website, militaryfriendly.com, the lists are published annually in G.I. Jobs, Military Spouse, and Vetrepreneur magazines in order to help veterans make wise educational choices.
RCC regards itself as “an excellent choice for military members and dependents,” offering a range of exceptional technical and academic programs in six convenient locations.
The college’s small size allows its Financial Aid and Veterans Affairs coordinator, its counselors, and its entire staff to supply personalized services. Step-by-step assistance and advising is available to military students and their dependents throughout the process of applying to the college, selecting an academic plan of study, choosing classes each semester, and finally graduating.
