Rappahannock Community College
May 6 and 7
RCC looks forward to its 49th Commencement exercise on Thursday, May 6 on the Warsaw campus and Friday, May 7 on the Glenns campus. Each event will feature the RCC Pinning Ceremony for graduating nurses beginning at 10 a.m., followed by RCC’s graduation proceedings at 2 p.m. Dr. Matthew Brent, Faculty Senate Chair will serve as this year’s Macebearer.
RCC is especially proud of this year’s graduates who have shown determination and dedication to their academic studies. “This has certainly been a challenging year and I am proud of the commitment and perseverance our graduates have shown,” said RCC President, Shannon Kennedy. “While we are unable to hold a traditional ceremony, we are pleased to honor our graduates with a commencement event.”
Upon arrival, students and their families will approach in their vehicles with a ticket to watch the graduating student walk across the stage. Portraits will be available to order following the ceremony. To ensure the safety of all participants, the ceremony will not be open to the public and masks will be required at all times.
Live audio will be available through a localized radio broadcast to help families engage in the event from the safety of their vehicles. The ceremony will also be livestreamed over the RCC Facebook account and will appear in a final video production the following week on the RCC website.
RCC is excited to honor the Class of 2021 and their many accomplishments with this special event! For Commencement inquiries, please contact our Admissions and Records department at email@example.com.
