Placement

We’ll need to know your educational history:

  • Request official high school transcript, SAT/ACT scores, and/or college transcripts. Please have them sent to RCC.

If you have graduated high school and/or taken the SAT or ACT in the past five years, you may not have to take the Virginia Placement Test (VPT).

Through multiple measures for placement such as your high school GPA, SAT/ACT or GED scores, you may qualify for placement into college-level English and math courses without having to take a placement test. If you do not qualify for placement by other measures, take the VPT for English and math.

We are working remotely; for assistance call 804-333-6834 or email testing@rappahannock.edu.
