A PATH TO A DEGREE
Working on this degree will set you up to pursue the Associate of Applied Science degree in Medical Laboratory Technology, which is offered by J. Sargeant Reynolds Community College at RCC.
We offer the Pre-Medical Laboratory Technology Career Studies Certificate for two reasons — as a stepping stone to the Associate in Medical Laboratory Technology and so that you can serve as a credentialed phlebotomist while you’re working on your education.
The Pre-Medical Laboratory Technology program lasts for two semesters and in that time, you’ll have to complete 10 classes (earning 29 credits).
In this program, like all of our other Health Sciences degrees and certificates, you will find yourself with a small group of students, under expert supervision. Our faculty have years of experience in the field, and are prepared to share their expertise with you, and the small cohort of students you’ll be grouped with. At RCC, you are never a number, like you could be at larger schools.
