Engineer Your Future
America always needs engineers. Those who can solve problems using math, science and creativity are always in demand. RCC is ready to help prepare you for a future in engineering.
The Pre-Engineering degree prepares you with many of the classes you’ll need at the next level (a four-year school). You’ll complete the core transfer classes that are required, as well.
Details on the program
The Pre-Engineering Specialization Program takes four semesters, or two years. You’ll want to work with your advisor to make sure you’re taking the right classes for the school that you want to transfer to — and we have approximately 40 four-year schools as partners that you can transfer to once you’ve completed your associate degree at RCC.
Getting Started at RCC:
- Apply online or in person.
- Have your official high school transcripts sent to RCC to see if you can use your high school grades to substitute for a placement test. If you need to take a placement test, Placement tests cost $5 and scores are good for two years. Call a counselor at 804-758-6730 (Glenns Campus) or 804-333-6730 for more information.
- Complete your Federal Application for Federal Student Aid (FASFA) and add RCC School Code 009160
- Meet with a counselor to review your placement test scores and register for class.
