The Paramedic II CSC is the second component of the Paramedic program. Entry into the second year requires successful completion of all Paramedic I CSC courses and clinical experiences. Upon completion of the Paramedic II curriculum, the learner will be eligible for National Registry testing.
Building on the foundation of Paramedic I, you will hone critical thinking skills and apply them with your growing understanding of anatomy and physiology, as well as the pathophysiology of trauma and medical emergencies to provide the best care possible.
Students already certified as Intermediates in Virginia may enter the program during this second year providing that the prerequisite Anatomy and Physiology course has been completed.
Upon successful completion of the program, students will be eligible for testing resulting in both national and Virginia certification.
Employment opportunities for Paramedics are available with ambulance services, fire and rescue services, hospitals, local, state and federal government agencies, and humanitarian relief organizations.
