To train persons for full-time employment as nursing assistants. This short term program is intended to give graduates full proficiency in the skills required to assist with nursing care in nursing homes, hospitals, and supervised home care situations.
Students must earn a C or better in all courses to be awarded the Career Studies Nurse Aide Certificate. Advanced standing may be granted to those with prior experience and/or training who exhibit knowledge and skills in fundamentals of patient care.
Individual contracts are in effect with each affiliate clinical agency. These contracts differ in their requirements for students. The general stipulations are as follows:
Contracts for each agency are available in the nursing office, and may be reviewed by students upon request.
