Moving Forward
Our Diesel Mechanics Technology Certificate was designed with input from professionals in the Diesel industry, to give our students the very best experience for those who want to rise through the ranks in a company.
You’ll learn many of the same skills that we teach in our Diesel Mechanics Technology Career Studies Certificate, but you’ll learn some “soft skills” that our partners in the industry are looking for (including computer skills).
Open for Business
Our Diesel Technology lead, Prof. Craig Donor, has more than 25 years of experience, and will guide you on a path to learn the skills required for jobs like Supervisor, Shop Foreman, and Purchasing Agent within the Diesel industry.
Getting Started at RCC:
- Apply online or in person.
- Have your official high school transcripts sent to RCC to see if you can use your high school grades to substitute for a placement test. If you need to take a placement test, Placement tests cost $5 and scores are good for two years. Call a counselor at 804-758-6730 (Glenns Campus) or 804-333-6730 for more information.
- Complete your Federal Application for Federal Student Aid (FASFA) and add RCC School Code 009160
- Meet with a counselor to review your placement test scores and register for class.
