Note: Students who did not complete a VCCS EMT program, but who are certified/licensed, may apply for advanced standing credit by presenting to Admissions and Records an unencumbered Virginia or National certificate/license to practice as an EMT. A copy of the certification/license must also be included in your application materials for review by the EMS Program Head.

1 EMS 112 and EMS 113 may be substituted for EMS 111.
2 BIO 141 may be substituted for NAS 150. Students who intend to pursue EMT-Intermediate and/or EMT-Paramedic should take BIO 141 and follow with BIO 142 in a later semester.
