Our program director, Ellen Vest, is a nationally certified EMS Educator and was named the Peninsula’s EMS Pre-Hospital Educator of the Year in 2014.
Our Advanced Emergency Medical Technicians program was created to train future responders to serve within the Emergency Medical Services infrastructure throughout the region and beyond.
Jobs for trained and certified EMTs include ambulance services, fire, and rescue services, hospitals, local, and state and federal government agencies.

The EMT – Advanced program here at RCC lasts four semesters, and can be completed with a minimum of 19 credits. This program includes an internship, which will put you with a real team to test your new skills and abilities.
