Life Hacker
If you have an interest in coding, networking, and working in an exciting and high-technology field that is expanding, the consider our Advanced Career Studies Certificate in Networking and Cybersecurity.
Graduates of this program can work at any number of companies, all of which are in need of employees with the specific IT skills required to combat these new threats.
Knowledge is Key
With this program, you’ll take classes like ‘Network Attacks, Computer Crime, and Hacking’ and ‘Internet/Intranet Firewalls,’ making you prepared to enter the workforce with entry-level expertise in security.
If you think this is where you belong, but are not sure about the skills required, check out our Basic Networking and Cybersecurity certificate. That program offers many of the same classes, but not at quite the level of the Advanced certificate.
Getting Started at RCC:
- Apply online or in person.
- Have your official high school transcripts sent to RCC to see if you can use your high school grades to substitute for a placement test. If you need to take a placement test, Placement tests cost $5 and scores are good for two years. Call a counselor at 804-758-6730 (Glenns Campus) or 804-333-6730 for more information.
- Complete your Federal Application for Federal Student Aid (FASFA) and add RCC School Code 009160
- Meet with a counselor to review your placement test scores and register for class.
