We know that these are trying times. A lot of tough decisions need to be made in light of COVID-19, unemployment, and life in general. We get it. Please know that RCC is here to help you every step of the way to achieve your goals of creating a better future for yourself, your family – and your community.

These aren’t just buzzwords and empty promises. Getting an education and earning a degree or certification is vital to improving your employment prospects. RCC can offer you a variety of programs and, most importantly during these times, the assistance you need in achieving these goals.

You can earn a degree or certification in only a few months, or use that for start on a longer-term degree. Your community needs trained, educated professionals to help prosper and grow. Start now!

Going to college is tough in the best of times. But, we are here to help you.

Your Next Opportunity

If you didn’t start college in August at the start of the Fall Semester, you now have a new opportunity to get started.

RCC offers an accelerated 8-week session beginning October 19. Now, you can get your start and continue into the Spring semester – beginning January 11. With a wide variety of programs to choose from, you can continue onto the four-year college or university in Virginia of your choice – guaranteed – or earn an in-demand industry credential right here at RCC.

We will provide new students with their own personal College Navigator. Your College Navigator will help you get on the right path, register for classes and connect with financial aid to help you pay for college (we have multiple ways to help you find grants to cover the cost!). They can even help get you the equipment you need!

RCC – Your Helpful, Affordable Local College

As the pandemic races on, RCC will continue to hold online classes through the Fall and Spring semesters. Learning online is not for everyone. Lack of access to high-speed broadband – and having the computers and software even to connect to it – can be a daunting challenge. RCC is committed to helping students acquire the necessary materials to succeed at online learning. RCC can loan computers and provide Wi-Fi access, in limited capacities, to help students connect with their classes while we are distancing. You can still attend classes at a designated time with a live instructor via Zoom. It is the next best thing to being in-person. And, we’ll even help you work with Zoom!

RCC has partnered with Bay Transit to offer free rides to and from RCC campuses. For students who have classes that may have an on-site component – such as labs, or if students need internet or use of the computer labs – all you need is an RCC ID and you are riding for free!

RCC is right here in the community you live in. Whether you are in King George, Gloucester, New Kent, King William, Northumberland – or anywhere in between on the Northern Neck and Middle Peninsula – RCC is the educational foundation of your community and we are here to help you succeed.
