Dental Assistant
Dental Assisting Program – 80 hours. Upon completion of the course students will be prepared to take the X-ray certification test, a Virginia requirement for dental assistants. Note: This class is taught through a partnership and all interested individuals will be referred to a different registration process after obtaining necessary information. Comprehensive Medical Coding Training
The Coding Training Program will provide all of the how-to information and coding practice needed to learn to medical coding. It includes over 600 patient charts to practice on, with CPT, ICD, HCPCS coding training. The entire training program was developed by coders with 20+ years of experience in order to train would be coders in a fast track methodology. The course uses an accelerated instruction mental “technology platform learning system” which helps one retain technical information quite easily. Specific information is presented, and then interactively tested for retention. Background: Requires medical terminology experience or a strong clinical background to help analyze medical records. Certificate Course in Electronic Medical Records Administration
The American Recovery and Reinvestment Act ordered that patient health records be input into computerized systems in a digital format. The transition to electronic health records is now well underway. This course is organized to provide learners with a comprehensive understanding of the history, theory, and functional benefits of Electronic Health Records (EHR). It is estimated that the need for skilled persons in a variety of EHR positions will make this a demand area.
