Ecotourism – Virginia Ecotour Guide Certification Course

This is an eight-week series of evening classes focusing on the aspects of ecotourism, including Leave No Trace principles, ecosystem science, customer service, essential guiding skills, and local cultural and natural history.  Presentations from a variety of speakers within the tourism and natural resource management fields allow participants’ full immersion in local, current ecotourism issues.  An exciting Saturday ecotour field trip and practice tour implementation are included in the course.  CPR & First Aid Certification required to complete certification, obtained at student’s convenience.
