The purpose of Student Development Services is to work collaboratively with faculty by providing support services to instruction that can help students achieve success in the programs of the institution in a quality, supportive learning environment where personal growth and learning is considered a lifelong process.
As a student at Rappahannock, you will find the individual attention needed so you can achieve your career and education goals. Whether you plan to complete an applied science degree or certificate to prepare for employment or an arts and science degree for transferring to a four-year college or university, the student development staff is here to help you along the way.

Student Outreach explores higher education access and opportunities at RCC with prospective students.
Admissions and Records is the point of contact for new students applying to the college, for returning students to update student information, and for current and graduating students to obtain official transcripts.
Counseling provides intake assistance for new students as they prepare for the first semester of enrollment and assist currently enrolled students who encounter challenges that may interfere with their academic success.
Financial Aid assists eligible students to find the financial resources to enroll and complete certificate and degree programs.
Support Services collaborates with the instructional faculty to provide services for currently enrolled students to increase their persistence and graduation rates.
Student Activities at RCC are offered to enhance the academic program at RCC with cultural, social and recreational events and opportunities for participation in the campus life at RCC.
