The financial aid process

  1. Complete the 2011-2012 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) at http://www.fafsa.gov.
  2. Make sure you list RCC's Federal School Code —009160— on FAFSA.
  3. After your FAFSA is processed you will receive a Student Aid Report (SAR). The Financial Aid(FA) Office will send a letter to students after they receive their SAR, indicating what is needed to complete the process.
  4. Contact FA Office after receiving the SAR to make sure you have submitted all required forms and verification documents.
  5. Complete the FA Application by the deadline, and return it to the FA Office.
  6. Make sure RCC has received a completed admission application. Only students with complete admissions and financial aid files can be awarded aid. Enrollment in an approved associate degree or certificate program is required for financial aid eligibility.

Please check with the FA Office to find out what programs are eligible.
