RCC-Richmond County FOL thanks Union First

The Friends of the Rappahannock Community College/Richmond County Public Library recently expressed their thanks to the management and employees of the Union First Market Bank in Warsaw for the free use of one of their buildings on Main Street. A cake beautifully decorated with the library’s logo symbolized the Friends’ gratitude for the bank’s generous accommodation.

The Friends have operated their ongoing Used Book Sale for the past three years in this building, which is located just behind the bank. Currently the collection amounts to about 14,000 used books, tapes, and DVDs (selling for just $1 each), but donations keep it growing all the time. The Friends welcome the public to the sale on most Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

RCC-UnionBank-CakeProceeds of the Used Book Sale go to support collections and programs at the RCC Library and the Richmond County Public Library, which share space on RCC’s Warsaw campus.
