RCC nursing students help out at Health Fair

At the March 29 Community Health and Wellness Fair, at Riverside Tappahannock Hospital, associate-degree nursing students from Rappahannock Community College helped the hospital staff with presentations and attendee screenings. In addition to taking weight and blood pressure readings to identify potential concerns, they worked with laboratory and respiratory therapy staff to test participants for blood glucose, cholesterol, and sleep apnea. They also took part in a “Zumba” presentation put on by the YMCA, in order to show fairgoers how much fun this dance therapy can be.
