RCC delegation visits General Assembly
On Wednesday, February 23, students from Rappahannock Community College’s Warsaw Campus traveled to a session of the General Assembly in Richmond, where they spoke with Delegates Harvey Morgan of Virginia’s 98th District and Albert Pollard of the 99th District. Those making the trip were Kenneth Belgrave of Norfolk, Jacqui Collins of King William County, Nancy Mantrana of Northumberland County, and Owen Snead of Richmond County. The students were accompanied by RCC president Dr. Elizabeth Crowther and Warsaw Campus dean Patricia Bradshaw.
Students from all over the state observe the legislature’s Community College Days every year by taking part in these trips. The purpose, as well as promoting the legislative goals of the Virginia Community College System, is to remind legislators of the importance of Virginia’s community colleges in providing for the critical needs of the Commonwealth and its citizens.
