Office professionals gain new insight from RCC-sponsored conference

“I feel so validated!” said one of the forty-plus office workers who attended the April 25 Administrative Professionals Conference, sponsored by Rappahannock Community College’s Workforce and Community Development Center and held at Rappahannock Westminster Canterbury in Irvington. Keynote speaker Dr. Carolyn Browning wove passion, enthusiasm, motivation, and appreciation into her presentation, which focused on “valuing yourself and what you do.” She emphasized that administrative assistants play a pivotal role in the effectiveness of any organization or business, often being the force behind the actions attributed to their employers.
