Ms. Wheelchair Virginia to speak at RCC

Looking for a dose of inspiration? Ms. Wheelchair Virginia, Stephanie Copeland of Richmond, will appear at noon on November 7, at Rappahannock Community College, in the Warsaw Campus lecture hall (room 122).

Eight years ago, Copeland was paralyzed as a result of a traffic accident. But she did not let this stop her from earning her bachelor’s degree in business management in 2007, and graduating in the top 1 percent of her class. Her platform for advocacy is “taking the positive spin on life,” her motto is “you gotta roll with the punches,” and her goal is to educate others to “see a person, not a set of wheels.”

The event is sponsored by the RCC/Richmond County Public Library, and is free and open to the public. For more information, please visit www.rcplva.org.
