RCC EMTs get hands-on training.

On April 25, with the help of the Westmoreland Volunteer Fire Department and PHI AirCare 2 of Fredericksburg, Rappahannock Community College’s Emergency Medical Services program coordinator, Suzanne Tolson, staged a training exercise for the Spring 2012 class of emergency medical technician students. A mock-up of a traffic collision gave the students valuable practice in extrication and emergency treatment techniques, as well as in questioning patients for vital medical and rescue information.
