Federal Work-Study Program
The Federal Work-Study (FWS) is a program that provides part-time jobs for students who demonstrate financial need and are enrolled at least half-time (6 credits) during the Fall and Spring semesters at RCC. Awards are based on need for which the student must work. Money is earned hourly and paid on a bi-weekly basis through the Federal Work-Study Program. Student class schedules, curriculum and job skills are considered in assessing jobs. Most employment is on-campus; however, additional employment opportunities have been established for off-campus community service employment.
