Distance Learning Orientation
New Student Orientation Summer 2012
First-Time distance learning students should attend one of the Help Sessions available on-campus on Thursday, May 17th.
All students should review the online course orientation and syllabus before starting your course. To view your course orientation either view login to myRCC and access your Blackboard course if available. All online classes that are scheduled for the 10 week session will be available by May 21st to view in Blackboard.
As a new student at RCC, you only need to attend one of the sessions below. Distance Learning instructors are not present during the orientation sessions.

What’s Available during the Help Sessions
- Bookstore, Admissions and Business Office will be open.
- Print out your syllabus and review your Course Orientation-
- myRCC single signon help sessions to include Blackboard, Student Email and Student Information System
Make sure to login to the myRCC single sign on and get your username and password. You should be able to access Blackboard, student email and the student information system from this location. Students are uploaded to Blackboard courses at least one week before the course start date. Each Instructor has until the first day of class to make their courses available for students to view. For directions on how to find your username, please view the What is myRCC flyer and the login directions on the RCC website.
