Upward Bound
Upward Bound is a college preparatory program designed to encourage high school students to develop the academic skills and motivation necessary for success in postsecondary education. The program provides eligible participants within the RCC service region with the following services on a year-round basis:
- Supplemental instruction in the core academic subjects (English, Mathematics, Science, History, Foreign Language)
- Tutorial assistance
- Career assessment and planning
- Counseling and academic advising
- Preparation for college enrollment
- Cultural enrichment
- Involvement in community service projects
Upward Bound is a Federal TRIO Program; funded by the United States Department of Education and hosted by RCC’s Office of Student Development, with the purpose of providing students with quality educational experiences, promoting their personal growth, and preparing them for success as learners, professionals, and citizens.
