Tuition rates for both Virginia and non-Virginia residents are included in the Schedule of Classes, and information is available from either campus. The college will publicize any tuition and fee changes that occur after the class schedule is printed, and correct rates will be posted on the RCC website.

Nominal testing fees are charged for the materials used in placement and career tests that are given to assist the student in choosing a program.

A technology fee of $7.50 per credit is charged to all students. The fee helps support the continuous upgrade of high technology equipment for instructional use.

A student activity fee of $1.75 per credit is charged to all students. The fee helps support the RCC student activities program.

A service fee of 94 cents per credit for credit students and 50 cents per class for noncredit students is charged to support facilities maintenance at all RCC sites.

A capital fee of $15.00 per credit is charged to all out-of-state and Special Arrangement Contract students.

Students must acquire the books and supplies needed in their studies. These items are estimated to cost between $500 and $700 per semester for a full-time student. Cost will vary according to program of study or courses selected, and for some programs the price could be higher than the estimate range.
