Medical Administrative Office Specialist Career Studies Certificate

The certificate requires completion of 16 credits.

PURPOSE

This program of studies will prepare students for positions as front office staff in medical offices.  

OPPORTUNITIES FOR EMPLOYMENT

Employment opportunities exist in medical and dental offices, clinics, hospitals, and insurance firms for qualified workers in this field.  Ongoing education is essential to career advancement. Students may advance their education through completion of a related degree program.  MDA 203, 207, and 210 may be used as career electives in RCC’s Business Management AAS Degree. 

ADMISSION REQUIREMENT

Applicants must meet general admission requirements.  Prerequisite: placement in ENG 03, 05, and above the 2nd module of developmental math.

PROGRAM REQUIREMENTS

Students are required to earn a C or better in all courses to be awarded the Career Studies Certificate.
