Legal Assisting Career Studies Certificate

Length: 28 credits
Purpose
To develop the skills and knowledge to work in the growing field of legal assisting. Students will have the opportunity to explore the field through the career studies certificate program, and will after completing the certificate be eligible to transfer to an associate degree program at another community college.
Occupational Objectives
Students completing this program will be prepared for entry level positions as legal assistants in private law firms, businesses, and related venues.
Admission Requirements
Applicants must meet the general admission requirements of the college.
Program Requirements
Students must earn a minimum GPA of 2.0 in the curriculum to be awarded the Legal Assisting Career Studies Certificate.
