Developmental Studies

Development coursework may be required for college readiness.  Placement testing is utilized to identify college readiness.  Students who need additional preparation prior to credit courses will be placed in English (ENF) or Mathematics (MTT) developmental courses.

Students who are identified as needing developmental courses in math and/or English must complete their developmental prerequisites before taking courses in their curriculum. Students may enroll in a developmental course no more than two times in order to complete the requirements for that course. Students who need to enroll in a course a third time to complete the requirements must have special approval from an academic Dean.

Developmental courses do not count toward a degree, and no college-level credit is awarded.  The credits assigned to developmental courses apply to student load, faculty load, and financial aid eligibility only.
