Educational Foundation
The Rappahannock Community College Educational Foundation, Inc. (RCC/EFI) is a nonprofit charitable Virginia corporation dedicated to supporting the mission of RCC to promote the personal growth of its students and prepare them for success as learners, professionals, and citizens by providing quality educational experiences. The mission of RCC/EFI is dedicated to assisting residents of the college’s twelve-county service region to gain access to affordable and effective higher education by gathering, managing, and distributing financial resources through its scholarships, endowments, and outreach programs. RCC/EFI, under the provisions of the IRS code, accepts tax-deductible charitable gifts of cash and in-kind services from individuals, businesses, corporations, clubs, churches, foundations, and organizations, as well as planned gifts, including bequests, from donors listing the foundation in their wills. RCC/EFI is governed by a volunteer board of directors who give generously of their time and talent.

The Center for Workforce and Community Development provides classes and programs that support individual skill development and career enhancement while remaining responsive to business and community needs for education and training that enable organizational effectiveness and productivity.

The mission of the Center for Workforce and Community Development is:
To provide the Middle Peninsula and Northern Neck with comprehensive workforce and community development programs designed around business, industry and community needs.


  • To accurately assess and develop training opportunities of the area workforce in order to prepare participants to be successful in the 21st century workforce.
  • To successfully market training programs offered by workforce division.
  • To hire trainers whose skill sets meet the training needs of the area workforce.
  • Build confidence and engage participants in college readiness activities that promote 21st century skills.
