Arts and Sciences Degree
The Associate of Arts and Sciences degree (AA&S) generally prepare students for transfer to a four-year college or university. They prepare students to continue their education in a particular program. Transfer-degree programs enable students to complete the freshman and sophomore years of a four-year degree before transferring to a senior college or university to complete the junior and senior years of a baccalaureate degree program.

The Associate of Applied Science degree (AAS) is designed to provide specific programmatic coursework that prepares students for the workplace or that provide new skills for career advancement. In general, this degree is not transferable to a four-year institution. However, RCC does have specific articulation agreements with area colleges and universities for some of these programs.
