Advising
Advising is an interaction and shared responsibility between students and academic advisors cooperatively invested in developing and reaching the student’s academic and career goals. Intake advising for new students is provided by counselors and student support specialists after a new student completes the required placement tests. Intake advising includes career exploration, assistance with determining a program of study, and assistance with appropriate class selection for the first semester at RCC. Full-time faculty provide academic advising for students who have selected a program of study; faculty advisors are assigned during the student’s first semester of enrollment at the college.
